Bernie would have won if it wasnt for the corrupt Dem leadership
Bernie would have won if it wasnt for the corrupt Dem leadership
Oh ffs, here we go…. Have you been cutting and pasting this since 2016?
This was the first time I posted it. Just venting. The sooner we realize that Dem leadership has to change for the better, the sooner we win. All the best to you!
I’m with you on that!
May have won, would have been the policies we needed regardless. Sometimes it's worth playing to win (the world), 2016 and 2020 primaries were worth that (feel the Bern), but sometimes one just plays not to lose.
Corruption is currently fucking up our country. Seems like now is a good time to address it? The DNC has been blatantly corrupt and inept. We need to purge the corrupt dipshits from the Dems and give people some to vote for like Bernie.
You fucks need to shut up and listen ffs
Well, Trump won by taking over Bernie's populist movement when Hilary became the nominee. Is that cut and paste?
Too be late. Just do what is needed now!
If you don't pay attention to the past, you're doomed to fail! History ignored is what has gotten us to where we are right now. It matters, and Rs know - why do you think they are defunding education and banning books.
TrumPutin cheated then just like they did in 2020 and 2024.
Man, y'all will do anything to avoid admitting that DNC leadership keeps pushing unpopular candidates.
Didn't Clinton win the primary vote?
That might mean something if it was based on direct votes rather than a delegate system.
You mean the Democratic National committee 's convention primary? The same party that spent the entire time in the South, promoting him as a socialist? They deliberately cut his legs out from underneath him in order to put Clinton in after the GOP spent 20 years manufacturing hate against her.
No, the one THE PEOPLE voted for who they wanted to represent the party. You need to get over it and respect the will of the voters.
THE PEOPLE voted for delegates who did whatever they wanted.
No, the delegates voted for who we the people voted. Just stop
Did they? Or did they follow orders and choose who the higher up leadership wanted. Don't give me orders.
Do we really need to relitigate 2016 all over again? There is evidence DNC and MSM played with the money and background politics to push Clinton. So yeah, "the people" voted for Clinton, after being told by party brass and media to do so because only she could win, except she didn't. They lied.
Yeah I'm sure Russia had nothing to do with her losing, nor the outdated electoral college. Despite all that, she still got over 2.8 million more votes than Trump, and here you are claiming she was unpopular 🤡 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian...
I didn't say she was unpopular. I said she was propped up by party brass and media (she was) and that she lost (she did). And she lost in part, yes PART, because Trump became a populist. If Bernie was chosen, Trump's faux populism would not have worked.
What, the DNC promoted the actual Dem over the Independent cosplaying as a Dem? Imagine!
That independent causes with Dems more than real Dems (Manchin and Senema) for decades. But he ran as a real Dem, so DNC was supposed to stay neutral. Imagine!
*caucuses
Whole different subject...rethuglikkklans are IN office now... save the candidate shit for the next election.
There isn't going to be any more real elections.
How so? Hillary won the popular vote by 2.8 million votes. She was very popular.
We seriously need to break this two party system in the US. There should be at least three parties, maybe more, but we need a lot of changes to properly support this. Not sure how we deal with the Speaker and Senate Majority leader when there is no majority. - Progressives - Centrists - MAGA
3 or 4 parties is the way to go
Perhaps like parliament in other systems. I think this would allow more conservatives to vote for Centrists if they weren't tied to the democratic party and then real progressives can have a chance without the DNC thumb. Parties can coalesce differently depending on the issue.
That is why I support a complete restructure of our government with help from our allies.
I’ve often dreamed of a four-party system: A progressive party for the left, Democrats are only the center-left, a new Tory party as the center-right and Republicans are only the far right
And nationwide ranked-choice top two primaries for the presidency, and a national popular vote.
Ranked choice would make such a huge difference.
Such is why AfD in Germany seems unlikely to be in the next government, there were other choices for populists and the center-right
They lost.
As did Bush in 2000 and 2004, but democrats always concede.
And the fact that Jim Comey announced reopening the FBI investigation of Hillary's server days before the election had nothing to do with it? Horseshit. She was leading in the polls before that happened, then the polls tanked for her. At least be honest.
Where did I say that? You just make stuff up? As we've learned, polls are meaningless. Yes, Comey F'ed up bigtime, and nobody knows if Bernie would have won, but we know for sure Hillary lost. That much we know. We also know that Trump has fooled swing voters that he is a populist.
She was leading in the pulse because we had no other choice. It was her or Trump. They had already fucked us by taking Bernie away. Once again, the DNC made us pinch our noses and vote.
Like Fox News and other corporate media wouldn't have framed Bernie as a dangerous socialist, who wanted to raise everyone's taxes, and confiscate everyone's guns. I don't see you denying that Hillary could have won, if Comey had just not interfered.
They did that to Obama, Hilary and Kamala too. That's their playbook. But Trump used Bernie's playbook. Give people what they want. Of course, he was lying while Bernie was sincere. But anyway, we don't know what would have or could have been.
Hillary might have won sure, but you do forget that Trump had already bought the electors. I mean he literally had people set up as other states electors who lived in Florida. He tried to do it in 2020 but got caught as fake electors the last time.
Yes, I'm convinced Trump was planning the same thing he did in 2020 for 2016, but he accidentally won, so didn't need to implement it.
Regardless, it's self-evident that while Sanders was advocating for a change, Clinton was advocating for the status quo. Eventually Trump won twice by strongly advocating for something different than the status quo. He understood that many wanted a change, while Dems got stuck in the past.
We got stuck with people living in Ivory towers with their little white gloves and putting on etiquette shows, "Here's how we do a peaceful transition of power. Now you do it"
Stop with the what ifs! Distraction and bellyaching begone! Let's look forward and stand united against these tyrants!
Yes, the could’ve, would’ve, and should’ve’s don’t matter anymore. It’s in the past, and we must fight against this tyranny now and prepare with a plan for our future.
