Not caring
Not caring
Reminds me of Dalmatian Adriatic Sea and Macedonian mountain lakes. Slow sunny life full of good humans, great food and nature breathing in warm frequencies. The best drug on the planet.
Guarantee that water is cold.
💯
I made the mistake of jumping into a similar lake in Glacier National ,Park during a backpacking trip in early August of 1973. I'll never do that again...
And not caring about it, either.
Year?
Ooooooo...beeyouteefull!🥰😍
I legit thought this was gorilla art at first glance
During quarantine, I went almost 3 months without knowing what day or time it was. It was so incredibly freeing.
God, can I join you??? Please
You don’t know what day it is because you got brain freeze from yonder glaciers … jes’ say’n ;-)
@sidewalkpirate.bsky.social
Yeeeeessssss. 2 please!
Floating in the water Free for a quarter of an hour No sight of brick and mortar Just you, water, Gaia's power
And the nearly 2400 people that do that hike daily that are dropping litter, spray graffiti, and are making it so the county is about to close this trail. Social media is a fucking lie. www.kxly.com/news/man-dro...
If I can pick heaven, that would be it!
My brain: Contaminating a pristine lake!
Need
Yes please 😊
Its too cold to be doing that for long, its almost snow level.
Seems pretty illusive these days! Hoping tho…
I wish.
Knowing, but not caring...
Yes. yes. 😎
I'll be at the other end in case you need something to drink
That's fun for 10 minutes, then you need to figure out what to do with your life.
I'd want a Gondor-style beacon on the mountain to let me know when he's dead.
Suffering for the photo. Ice fucking cold nothing relaxing about this……..
It's today day
Nope. That water is freezing cold.
😂
Mountain lake. Check her, she might be frozen.
What’s the water temperature?
I look at this and hope there are no brain eating amoeba or cyanobacteria... Sigh...
Need that😭
Me too & the perfect vibe we need going into the holiday weekend. Grateful to you for sharing this. More please.
You know what, I bet if we could change society so that we loved, respected and genuinely valued each other, if we could see the people around us as friends, neighbours, family rather than the enemy, I bet we could have pictures in urban spaces that had something of the soul food vibe about it. 2/
Until then though mother nature continues to provide a real answer
Or she just kills you because you’re an idiot who takes cues from social media and lacks the knowledge to not to go swimming in freezing cold lake. www.kxly.com/news/man-dro...
mother nature can be a harsh mistress... Better to die in her arms than an emergency room though.
Yes, better to drown in a lake while watching your friends watch you drown from the shore then in an emergency room. Touché
Sign me up. JFC, I need a break from this daily insanity.
Reminds me of Colorado
Lovely, sigh, thanks.
Oh I wish! How wonderful.
🥶🥶🥶
Amen!
I need this!
🫠
I'm halfway there already. . I'm not in the icy lake. But I've generally no idea what day it is!
This would fix me !!!!!
Fix you? it would actually kill you www.kxly.com/news/man-dro...
Oh yes. That would be heaven.
Damn that looks COLD!!!
I would die to experience this just once
That would be freezing cold 🥶
www.kxly.com/news/man-dro... Sure fucking is. So cold it’ll kill you, literally.
Colchuck Lake 👍🏼
It is most beautiful indeed
Not AI, right????
Absolutely
Wouldn't that be fabulous 😊
Absolutely🤗!
That's me every day now.
That’s a dream!!
Pure bliss.
A hot summer day and diving into a snow-melt lake is fine. For about 90 seconds. My testicles felt like a second set of tonsils so I only did it once. 😁
Looks soooo relaxing! ☺️
Ohhh. Yes. Definitely
In this moment there is peace.
Giardia
You have to drink the water for that
True, but that's quite easy to do accidentally when you're splashing around in it
I suppose so
Take me there
forever
Sign me up!
I'm 72. At least I have that second part down.
Why do I see something dark coming up from the deep to get her?
Everyday I can
The plane crash had been days ago now, almost a week maybe. Only the co pilot was still edible but the sun was warm, one engine still smouldered a thick black plume of smoke into the air and there was nothing to do but float next to the remains of the mini bar.
Cool water and sun😩😀
I’m in.
And a full bank account to sustain this "pursuit of happiness".
I gotta say tho, that water has got to be cold AF.
Yep. This guy that John has social media post like this to thank. www.kxly.com/news/man-dro...
same👍💙🌎💚🖐🍀
I’ll take it 😆
This will be me. Here. Next Thursday for 2 weeks. Similarly. Putting this phone down too when I get there & cleanse my brain. 🙄😒
Beautiful!!! 🥰🥰🥰💯😇
Would love that. 👍
SHE’S SCARING ALL THE TROUT!
You would be surprised how warm shallow alpine lakes can be in the summer.
Yay physics!
F yeah!
It's to-day
I don’t care how cold that water is. We only have so many times in our busy lives to do something like this? Take advantage of it. These moments, wherever your happy place is, are fleeting. “STOP,…. and smell the roses.”
Oh pick me
Sorry, but the Jaws theme started playing in my brain.
So so cold…only for Insta
Beautiful, but you wouldn't catch me in that cold water.
good for the heart!
You’ll know if it’s still good or not…
That water look COLD!!!
Beautiful 😍 I lay like that in my pool, it is such a peaceful experience to be connected with nature as one 🕊️
Not CARING what day it is today.
I’d rather have it be night though
That water is so cold

That's my childhood right there
I wouldn't be able to close my eyes for a sec if this is bear country. Sure looks like bear country.
A Map for Saturday does sound pleasant
Bet this would feel great 😌
Wonder where this is? Looks so peaceful
Colchuck Lake, WA
Very peaceful www.kxly.com/news/man-dro...
Yikes!
Umm, that's snow in the background, right? What's the over/under on the water temperature? I'm betting over 38, but under 50. I would last two seconds. Maybe 60 seconds if I trained for it all winter.
I don't know for sure, but I can think of a couple explanations: 1) The majority of the "snow" is actually a geological formation called scree or talus, or 2) The lake is heated geothermally.
Sometimes if there’s been warm weather, a bunch of sun, minimal wind, you can get a layer of warm-ish water to float on. Get more than a few inches deep and yer done for.
Absolutely
I’ve been there! Definitely freezing, but after the hike it takes to get to the lake it’s well worth it lol
brrr, that looks cold!!
My thought too.
So did this guy www.kxly.com/news/man-dro...
!!!!!
Haha was thinking the same. Def have never floated on my back in any gorgeous mountain lake I’ve ever been in.
Indeed. I will always pop my feet in after a long hike, but not brave enough to go all the way in. Look at the snow and glaciers melting directly into the water, you know the temperature.
beautiful!
Crater Lakes, two Alpine lakes in James Peak Wilderness area NW of Denver, just below the Continental Divide, at 10,600 ft elevation. The 6 mile RR Moffat Tunnel runs directly under these lakes, and connects the Colorado Front Range with the Western Slope. 3.5 mile hike from the tunnel East Portal.
I've jumped into June Lake in the Eastern Sierras not far from Yosemite...it was snow runoff as this pic appears to be, and I assure you I jumped back out!
Can confirm! My sister and I jumped into the neighboring Silver Lake and we hauled ass outta there. Then we didn't learn and did the same for June 😅
I jumped off a cliff into crater lake. Never have I exited water so fast!!!!
Same!!!! If you’ve ever swim in an alpine lake you know it’s COLD!!!
This popular lake has been destroyed by assholes hikers this year due to forest service cutbacks, graffiti, trash, and it’s a glacier fed & a guy drowned a few weeks ago while his friends watched from the shore This is the reality of this lake and this is why social media is such fucking bullshit.
You know what day it is? What day is it?
It’s Friday Friday gotta get down on Friday!
Me too please!
Plus the chances of surviving the apocalypse are much better at this location.
I think she’s dead from hypothermia.
That water is cold.
She’s not comfy floating there.
Glacier-cold water! Brrr.
And running out of the freezing water just after the shot... Hope she did not get neumonia
Serenity…..
