This is yet another LIE by the left. The title of the original book, which is still in the libraries is “Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl”. In 2018 a graphic novel was published titled “Anne Frank's Diary: The Graphic Adaptation”. That is the book in question because of some of the graphics.

Not lying but wrong, perhaps, judging by a 2024 source. I wonder if there's an official list of these banned books, because I find hard to trust the media-and I still think it's more a matter of sexophobia(which I blanketed on the general term of 'being prudes')rather than straight out being Nazis.

The book most of us read was heavily edited by her father. There is an ‘original’ one out now. The graphic novel may well be accurate.

You are absolutely right and I honestly wouldn't have even found out about it were it not for the news about the ban of the graphic novel years ago. Just saying that parents angry about any representation of sexuality in books for children does not necessarily imply they are straight out "nazis".

Nazis killed homosexuals as well as banning books, so I disagree. If there are parents in any book, that is a representation of heterosexual sexuality. I doubt very much they are in uproar over that…

The Nazis were homophobes. They butchered LGBTQ+ people as part of the holocaust. Also worth noting that after the liberation gay people continued to be discriminated against, including being transferred to prison, as homosexuality remained illegal in post-war Germany.

Homosexuals were persecuted and sent to concentration camps. It's where the pink triangle has it’s roots. On the opposite side of the canal to ‘Anne Frank’s House’ in Amsterdam is the Homomonument. A pink triangle made up of three separate triangles of pink granite.

I believe that they booked that was banned was not the original Anne Frank text. It was an adaptation which some people felt crossed the line. I have not seen the banned text.

If you are right, then the kindest thing I can say about those pursuing the Anne Frank book ban is that they aren’t very bright. Their commitment to homophobia must be powerful indeed for them to declare, in public no less, that they are Nazi-adjacent (or worse). Very poor optics, to say the least.
