Couple years ago picked up the sourcebooks for the game Thirsty Sword Lesbians. Would really enjoy playing it. Have not found people to do so with yet. Would like to at some point. Miss playing board games and RPGs. Or even online games with friends. Played Destiny for a decade.
Did get a bunch of Dark Heresy sourcebooks during a clearance sale. Have not really read them. Willllld universe. Fun setting. Interesting being the Inquisition. Found ways to make it make sense for a knowledge hungry character to be wary of knowledge that could cause incredible harm.
When COVID times started this local gaming group shut down. And never started up again at least not with me after I came out. Would have made a tweak so character was Manuzia Alda, perhaps, who finally figured out some important things about herself. One of my all time fav characters.
so a fav move was to get into a home as an inspector, throw a lot of paperwork at soneone while the rest of the team swept the house hoping to bluff through the matter. Did work! Often would fluster enemies through infodumping or asking them if they had completed the triplicate requisition forms.
This unleashed horrors and the monastery has to be shut down and sealed off. So Aldus was then taken to a large library to continue studies until recruited by the Inquisition to join an already existing team. Aldus had a mix of deep knowledge in a wide variety of areas plus skills in administrivia
Really loved my character, Manuzio Aldus, a red-headed librarian that was a bit like Sherlock Holmes but very visibly AuDHD (in hindsight). Secretly Aldus had grown up in a Space Marines monastery on a medieval planet. They had used some forbidden knowledge in service of their mission.
Numerous years later tried running the Mines of Phandelvin campaign. Online I think? Good boxed set. And my last in person group played Dark Heresy, an RPG where you play Inquisitors hunting down illicit knowledge and magic and demons and such for the Imperium in the Warhammer 40K universe.
Had a rogue named Maven Albreich in a sort of Game of Thrones world. Set up a spy network by becoming a gem dealer. Reused that character concept a bit for online Star Wars RPG for an Imperial spymaster also named Maven who was a shapeshifter, hunting down rebels. (Some conflicted feelings?)
Played Star Wars RPG in some online forums for a while. Had an online rebel naval strategist, Phoenix Drax. And then his son, who worked for the Empire, and was even more of a strategic and tactical whiz. Was in a hover chair due to a disability.
Croix Beartooth, a cleric in a custom setting same best friend set up. Canât remember the name of the Jedi I had in a long Star Wars campaign. Everyone died at the end but we defeated a DIFFERENT Emperor.
Justice Sabrehand, bard, died the first session in a Dragonlance campaign due to failing a detect illusion check for an illusory fire. Harsh. Dunbar the Dwarf. Dark Sun. Somehow we ended up in Ravenloft? My best friendâs assassin character turned into a Nosferatu and⊠ate me.
Simpler and I enjoyed those versions. I started DMing/GMing a bit then. Remember a lot of fun characters I played and campaigns I ran. While I was studying in Scotland I ran a Special Ops campaign for a bit, remember the main character I created on my end, Rat Shando. Very covert, no nonsense.
I miss playing roleplaying games. Started with Advanced Dungeons & Dragoms, Second Edition, way back when, and the West End Star Wars RPG. Still have those and a bunch of materials for them. Played a couple of GURPS-based games back then. Then both D&D and Star Wars moved up to D20 system.
Sounds like a tasty meal after a really tough day.
I know itâs hard for the dragons to protect all the neurodivergent folk and others with mental health issues that get called village idiots. Dragons are very protective and do not like bullies!

However I will say if you were to pick another, honoring Scorpio season, the 8th House, transformation, the underworld, the Death card, the pale rider⊠while gourds were not harvested by Kronos or Chronos, the snakey vines of the Pumpkin would likely be quite welcome. SoâŠ. Pumpkin Spice? Very nice.
In some traditions Persephone emerges from the underworld at this time of year, in others she remains below the earth in the summer (the hottest part of the year in Greece when little grew). In either case, Koulourakia seems like a good option for a cookie for the grim reaper.
Koulourakia is often specifically made around the spring equinoxâOstara. And perhaps another holiday with another name. This marks the beginning of Aries season and is often associated with a transformation from the dead of winter to the life of spring. Emerging from the underworld.
Paused for a bit more research, and survey says⊠⊠perhaps Koulourakia, a Greek butter cookie made from wheat flour (wheat and barley were the staple grains harvested in Ancient Greece), and shaped a bit like a snake. Chronos is often depicted as serpentine, thus Saturn and snakes are connected.
For Court cards, Scorpio represents the Knight of Cups, which looks a bit like Death. And Aries, the Queen of Wands, flame princess on her throne. So with all of this the true question becomes⊠⊠how does all of this translate into the best cookie for the grim reaper?
Scorpio rules the 8th House, a house of transfornation, rebirth, intimacy and connections to resources from others. Aries rules the 1st House, the house of Self, how you are viewed and seen, your physical appearance and body.
The Death card is ruled by Scorpio. Scorpio is co-ruled by Mars and Pluto. Mars is the Tower card in tarot, in between the Devil and Star cards. And Mars also rules Aries, represented by the Emperor card in Tarot. Pluto is the Judgment card, immediately before the World card.
While Capricorn is the Devil cardâcaution about entanglement in the material worldâand Aquarius, the Star cardâhope. Court cards have different systems, I see Capricorn as the Queen of Pentacles, and Aquarius as the Knight of Swords. The grim reaper in tarot is most closely connected with Death.
So in astrology Saturn rules Capricorn, as well as co-ruling Aquarius with Uranus. Those are the the default rulers of the 10th house of public fame and career, and the 11th house of friends and social good respectively. In Tarot, Saturn is the World card, the end of the Major Arcana journey.
So Saturn becomes the final barrier to reaching divinity. To the Gnostics, Saturn represented the boundaries and rules we are constrained by in life, which we must move beyond in order to approach the divine. I quite like this meaning, however Saturn has come to represent embracing restrictions.
The grim reaper aspect evebtually comes about because Kronos gets cast into Tartarus, so develops an Underworld association. Because of the conflation with the Time Primordial Chronos, he becomes somebody who inevitably comes for us all. The planet Saturn also is the final visible planet.
The history of the grim reaper goes back through Saturn and then Chronos (Primordial of Time) + Kronos (Titan who originally had a harvest focus), which is why he had a sickle, famously used to uhhhh stop some problems his dad Ouranos was causing. Kronos DID eat his children but not for the taste.

This is IMPERATIVE if you grew up in an emotionally unstable household and found yourself managing the emotional needs of others not mature enough to manage their own. Thatâs what an actual, clinical Empath is: a human mood ring living in constant anxiety. It sucks, break those habits if you can.
One of the most life-changing things my therapist ever taught me is to stop responding to emotional subtext from others. You are not obligated to meet needs and feelings that others refuse to acknowledge even exist on their end. Others have to use their words to get their needs met.

I am very alone in life right now. I am learning to figure out how to live this way. Itâs feeling harder to open up again and again. I tried again within the last couple months and after connecting a bit, vamoose! I do not want to despair or feel that is inevitable.

Have I had times where I thought I was a close friend with someone and they walked away? Yes. That has been both online friends and people I have been friends with since childhood. And⊠tomorrow I am going to a reading of one my one high school pals, will try to meet up ahead of time.
You may attend a college reunion and your life is richer because you maintained those light bonds along the way. Someone makes a comment and you are reminded of a memory, a piece of yourself, you had not had in mind. Iâve been making friends online in some way or fashion since modem BBS days.
Our lives are enriched by having friendships and acquaintances at many different levels. Yes you will have some very close friends who will be there for you. Others you may see now and then. And some you rarely if ever talk to, yet may stay in touch with lightly. Holiday cards for example.

We all have a chance to start fresh on any given day and make new choices. To leave behind actions you regret. Start taking new ones. That can be incredibly difficult. I do believe itâs possible. And have seen it. Will always wish this for everyone. Peace.
If they could actually feel worth from their accomplishments they could perhaps see others as people to collaborate with⊠and instead. They only see potential enemies. That need to be defeated. I hope everyone in this world heals. Finds their worth. We all have worth. We are not our worst days.
Make yourself big. Bark the loudest. People see themselves as the hero in their story. They can see their difficult life, and how hard they worked to get what they earned. Then someone comes along who has talent or skills that threaten the bullyâs place somehowâtrue or noâdestroy them.
Bullies can look like quite successful people as well. They can do their best to surround themselves with people who tell them how great they are. Yet inside? They often feel hollow. Empty. Typically because of awful trauma theyâve been through. And they got through by being aggressive.
Point of this is transphobia can be more than just words. And plenty of people can say the right things and cause harm, sometimes immensely so. What I find comforting to know is that bullies almost always are some of the weakest people you will ever meet. Their self-esteem is bottom of the barrel.
Creating an active harassment campaign to destroy an individual trans personâs life and getting others on board with this? You might just be acting in a transphobic way! Especially if you find a way to profit off of this, draining someone dry, like some sort of vindictive vampire? Not great!
That is true for when somebody does so towards actual trans people. Mocking people who are *not* trans by misgendering them, misrepresenting their sexuality because itâs funny to mock this person as if they were a different gender or if they were gay⊠âŠ. thatâs crappy behavior. Not âjokesâ.
Being transphobic goes beyond simply *saying* something explicitly transphobic. Just as love is a verb, a harsh truth is⊠so is hate. Transphobia is⊠You say the right words, BUT if you think someone is BAD, you⊠⊠deadname⊠⊠misgender⊠⊠mock appearance⊠⊠interfere with their ability to work.

I recognizes sharing all of this may feel like⊠a lot? These are things I mull over. I donât know that I have a completely valid philosophy on this. Thatâs okay. Thought I would yammer on a bit about this. And I have. Cheers.
Learning those skills can take time for anybody, and different women can have interests in different elements of various skills and values. And may continue to grow around that throughout a lifetime. I may feel as if I am catching up⊠itâs okay to feel that way. AND⊠I am not totally alone in that.
Describing that as being a trans woman makes sense. And⊠I think seeing that as one lens to view a particular set of characteristics of how I exist as a woman is useful. Iâm still learning and growing in terms of how I show up in the world⊠gender is almost like a set of cultural skills one learns
Perhaps this is to say an important part of who I am is simply to say⊠Iâm a woman. Yes. In my own way. Womanhood is a wide spectrum of existence. And I certainly do understand that I exist in ways that are somewhat unique compared to other experiences.
Especially at different stages of their lives. Iâm not trying to say Iâm *not* a trans woman, or that isnât a part of who I am. Being trans is a rich and wonderful existence with an enormously long history going back to the very first writings in human history.
Thereâs much I can and have done to get my physical self more in line with who I know I am, and thereâs more I would like to do. Iâm thankful for that. And there are gaps between how I exist as a woman and how many others do. AND there is a wide variety of ways women exist in the world.
I get that. Once I heard the term a woman with a trans history, and I rather like that. Have I had a life similiar to most women? The answer to that is it feels awful I have missed out on so much. So many experiences, rites of passage I never went through growing up.
Like any other woman. I just wanted to somehow presto chango, now Iâm showing up in the world how Iâm supposed to show up. So personally for me I didnât really think⊠I want to exist as a trans woman. It was just⊠as a woman. End of line. The actual practicalities of the world exist of course.
Then started to learn there was an actual real process that could allow me to live as who I knew I was, as I came to fully understand and accept that, which took time. I think at almost every point I wanted to be able to show up to live, to be seen, to exist, to be recognized as a woman.
Now at some of those earlier points I donât think I really understood the concept of trans women⊠I just wanted that to happen. Logistics were not really a consideration. It took a long, long while until my full conscious self understood all of this and came to terms with it.
When I first started having thoughts about being me, long, long agoâat least the thoughts I rememberâI thought about being able to show up in the world as a girl, have people see me that way, and later on, similarly, to *be* a woman in terms of how I exist in the world, how Iâm seen, how I exist.
