Look at this graph. The share of national income going to the richest 10 percent was lowest (and share to lower 90 percent highest) when union membership was at its highest. As unions have weakened, inequality has widened. This is why we must build back union power.

Yes, years of teaching left me with the bad habit of telling people that words and concepts are not whatever they want them to be. I used to test students on mastering terms that are used in the international community and in the conduct of war. "Whatever I think" wasn't one of the right answers.

I think for most Americans war is vague movie scenes of military vs military. Wars are fought over cities and casualties are NOT limited to soldiers. It was my understanding that anyone can contribute to Wikipedia. Is that correct?
I've already said: War crimes, clearly. But if every instance of large and indiscriminate civilian casualties is "genocide," the word will have less meaning and world leaders will be more reluctant to use it than they already are.
