Both parties are to blame for decades of wage stagnation, the hollowing out of communities, spiraling costs of education, healthcare and housing. Just not equally. The US needs another FDR. Look how the Dems treated Sanders, Mamdani and AOC; and guess how they would treat an FDR.
There's no denying that they're considerably better but are they sufficiently better? Both Clintons, Obama, Biden, Harris - they're all centrists with essentially identify economic stances. Incrementalists, not willing to do anything that would upset the billionaires.

Neither of those. But I do pay attention and I do believe in looking for root causes, not just hating people who think differently. There's not many of us around at the moment and maybe that's why you're confused.
That's an interesting take. How many of those jobs created paid a living wage that kept up with inflation? How many provided health insurance, sick time and paid vacation?
One of the biggest challenges for people is to look at negative things that are happening in their country through and accept it for what it is. MAGA isn't, as many claim, anti- American. Rather, it's hyper-American. It's a compilation of the worst aspects of American culture in one toxic brew.

I normally agree with everything you say but not this. There are reasons MAGA has grown and those reasons include problems with those groups asking others. If you want things to get better, we need to be able to look at the structural problems that created the demand for MAGA.

Democrats need to learn from Trump. For 45 years, they've chased the Overton window, moving steadily to the right on economics. Trump ignored the Overton window and spoke directly to the people. What's needed is someone who can do the same - but with positive motives.

The Democratic party sees to it that most progressive candidates never see the light of day. The few that do make it through against all odds (Sanders, AOC, Mamdani) are attacked and marginalized by the centrists who run things. The party needs an overhaul.
This is at best a stop gap. You don't fix political problems with lawsuits. You just kick them down the road and they get worse. The political center has LOST. You need to honestly ask yourselves why and adjust. Hopefully before it's too late.
At voting time, I always recommend the lesser of two evils. But between elections is the time to build support for people who will bring needed changes. If not, things will continue to get worse.

The overwhelming majority of Trump voters acted against their best interests. If you respond by villainizing and hating them, you're acting against your best interests. People with dark designs on America are happy to see ordinary folk fighting amongst themselves.

The reason the GOP is doing this is that they are well aware that student loan forgiveness was not popular among their base. Most of the people who go on to higher education are middle class or higher. The student loan forgiveness bailed them out while Biden ignored the truly needy.
