No, you really can't. Because it never stops at "one" thing. When you say "trans women can't compete with cis women", it sends the message to even the least-athletic trans person you'll never *really* accept them as who they are, you'll just humor them until it's not comfortable for you anymore.

As an aside, one of the hardest things parents have to learn when their kids go off to college is they no longer have access to their grades or teachers on demand, because they are adults and have specific legal protections as such.
