Online discussion says when Tron Legacy was released they remastered the original the first time. That was just to make it HD. Here's an original vs that remaster shot.
Example: where pale solid colors were common on other parts of the scenes, a few items suddenly have this vivid gradient coloring. These stand out against the original I remember.
Even the streaming version of this has been nicely cleaned up from the original. Color more vivid, noise filters, and sharpened to be crisp. I'm fairly sure they re-did some of the cgi shots too because a few things stood out to me that seemed slightly different from the old VHS copy I watched.
