The typical Dem tactics of waiting until the midterms and courting conservative voters are not going to work. Texas Dems were right to leave the state to block the gerrymandering, but Dems in other states are going to have to utilize extreme tactics as well.

Dems won't turn on the right-wing members of their own party. Dems won't go after Republicans in the court over corruption. They don't want to take that route because it would mean they risk losing highly valuable corporate donors. That's why they go after the left instead.

The Republicans have been able to impede Dems when Dems were in the majority before. The reverse is also possible, should the Dems decide to be more concerned with fighting Republicans instead of fighting their own base.
