Education systems face relentless attacks from the right, coupled with a vast misinformation media machine. This has created a segment of the population that views reality as a political team sport, simplifying complex issues to labels like "woke" or "communist" when confronted with complex ideas.
When you stand up and fight; sometimes you lose and sometimes you win. But do you know what happens if you don't fight at all? Nothing.
Breaking: Peaceful activists, many with disabilities, are being arrested at the Capitol right now. These individuals are putting themselves on the line to do all they can to save healthcare for millions of Americans.
Oh look. When you fight instead of capitulating, you can have your funding restored.

The media's basic assumption that crimes only count if they happen in secret has been Trump's saving grace throughout his two terms. He keeps blabbing about them -- here, he's posting a video of a targeted assassination of civilians -- but because he's so brazen they assume it's no big deal.
That Pritzker presser? Unreal. A sitting governor saying, flat out, the Union is coming apart and his state is being invaded by an authoritarian regime. This is a whole new level of crisis.

That Pritzker press conference was... surreal, and I think marks a significant moment of escalation in the constitutional omni-crisis. This was the governor of a state saying plainly the Union itself is being torn apart and his state is being militarily invaded by an authoritarian regime.
A simple question that no one in legacy media seems capable of asking.

Did 2 protests this weekend, a small one on hwy overpass and 300 people in my little town for Labor Day, both within 2 miles of my house. The 'where are the protest" people aren't looking very hard.

The president is sending the military to control American cities and if you're a reporter who's framing that illegal power grab as "pushing the boundaries of constitutionality" or "acting boldly to fight crime" or whatever, please go find another line of work where you won't get us all killed.
