Music Bleg: I need to come up with some songs that are loosely related to wrath. Think anger, betrayal, revenge, justice. But they also need to be songs that most people know, and with a copy of the lyrics might be able to sing along with a crowd of people. Any ideas?

I'm probably forgetting someone who isn't, but every single reporter or pundit I can think of that was cast out into exile from actual journalism for plagiarism, taking money under the table from its subjects, or getting caught just making s**t up is now a fixture in the right-wing media sphere.
Schrödinger's Sneetch Belly (@rtodkelly.bsky.social)
One of the most under-appreciated factors in right-wing media becoming what it is today is its decision back in the 00s that it would take in and promote any well-known reporters, pundits or broadcast media figures that had been drummed out of traditional journalism for extreme ethical lapses.

Being one of the olds, I remember how upset people got when supermarkets in America started offering whole wheat bread. They didn't even have to buy it, but just seeing it sitting there on the shelf reminding them that someone might made so many people *so* angry.

Yeah, but I think deporting people who looked like the people they're deporting *is* something they wanted. They may not have thought it al the way through, but they voted Trump because the concept sounded great to them. I don't think they ever wanted to pay 20-40% more for most of their s**t.

It’s also partly the fault of Democrats who have generally given up on even trying to educate the electorate. Harris would SAY that tariffs are a tax that would cost $n to voters, but never even tried to explain how tariffs work. If the electorate cannot be educated, Democratism itself is hopeless.

And yeah, that blame is partly on the voters. But it's also on places like CNN, who regularly invited "experts" to tell their viewers things CNN staff understood perfectly well were lies in a "he said/she said," "who knows what the facts really are about how tariffs work" kind of way.
Schrödinger's Sneetch Belly (@rtodkelly.bsky.social)
To be (sort of) fair, I think you'll find that before voters were in favor of taxing foreign countries and corporations for the privilege of selling good here, because that's what they were explicitly told we were going to do. I don't think they've ever been for paying tariffs on goods they buy.
