You could see Shapo's confidence draining as the match went on. By the 4th set, his body language telegraphed that he knew a Sinner win was inevitable. He used to fight on every point until the end, but no more. #USOpen
You were right...slow start, but picked up momentum and actually finished off with authority. Good sign, if she can tidy up some of the unforced errors.
She came back and won the second set, but way too many unforced errors. It's mental, just like Felix and Shapo, and Miilos and Bianca before them. Maybe Vicky is the killer we have been waiting for.

August has been an absolute dead zone. Matt and Blake went down to 4 shows a week and couldn't sustain that given the lack of action, so they went to 2 shows during the last week. We need some legit NHL news!

Agree! Arrived at the end of the Willie Desjardins era when the #Canucks had little to celebrate. We had not seen a shot like his here for a long time. "The Flow" was (unrealistically) our great hope for a while. Always took the high road despite personal and professional ups and downs.
I'm not defending Sim one bit, but a 2017 dollar bought a lot more travel than a 2023 one did.

35 years ago as new, still-wet-behind-the-ears lawyers, within the first few weeks we were taught "The Asshole Principle" (by a senior partner) which is, basically, don't be one. That concept has certainly been watered down, if not entirely lost, over the years.
