That would be impossible to enforce and who would even be making the decisions about what’s “okay” to have in adult spaces? Some people are more offended by gay men than age gaps, some are more offended by enemies-to-lovers than incest. A better use of time would be to meaningfully educate kids.

Genuinely, you need to calm down. If you're having a meltdown over people shipping fictional characters, you might not be ready for fandom spaces. It's not other people's job to ensure your comfort.
That is also an interesting point of comparison! I've met both Chinese and Russian shippers in my current fandom/ship, it's always nice to see them considering the lengths they have to go through to interact.

If we actually tried to quantify how "illegal" ships were based on actual laws in our world, m/m would likely be one of, if not the most, illegal (regardless of how healthy/wholesome the ships actually were).
It’s been a thing forever but mostly in Asian fandom. The ship name tag is meant to help people who want to see one or the other dynamic find their preferred content (yes it typically makes more sense for r18 works, but it’s commonplace on pixiv where hashtag usage is important)
