It will be affected by the damage done to the whole. Her citizens move back and forth, they have relatives in the other states, and impacts to our rights will affect Alaska too. This is a tragic decision on her part. And as a 'nasty' and outspoken women, she still won't win points with Trump.
Even as a Democrat, I've respected Murkowski for years. She has often taken hard stands against poor leadership. Wish she'd stayed firm and voted against this travesty. Alaska doesn't share a border with other states but it is not independent.
And most likely those emergency rooms will cease to exist. The people kicked off Medicaid will not have the money to pay the high ER bills. Hospitals will close.
People with health care thru their employers will also be affected because many rural or small hospitals cannot stay in business without the support of the medicaid system. Vote the Republicans out - they'll get over it.
I sincerely hope every person who loses health insurance or is affected by the medicaid cuts, votes Democratic in ongoing elections. People being cared for in nursing homes will be affected. Pregnacies will be endangered due to lack of birthing centers and prenatal care.

Yep, I’ve seen the story that most tariffs have been paused for 90 days. But I still got a new price list from Ashford that goes into effect on Monday. No word from other vendors so far. And I’m STILL going to finish my one-bite talks about why our domestic wool industry is in bad shape.
Chapter 3 of Domestic Wool Doldrums: wool prices. They’ve been declining since WWII. They’re laughably low, and when you can slaughter lambs and sell meat for $15/lb rather than 83 cents/lb for wool… it’s a hard sell to encourage folks to look at wool as viable production income.
I can't help but think of a 17 year old just learning to drive. First pedal to the metal, then slam on the brakes. Pause repeat. Congress needs to be the parent and take a way the keys to the tarifs.
