My cat is such a wonder. She was a stray and every day she acts like she’s never eaten before and then finds it magical that she is getting more food. It’s a lesson to remember for all of us.
Spent yesterday at the bookstore and cafe catching up on my weekly review and reading. Not that I needed another book but picked this one up and so far looks to be really good.

Buster is still one of my all time favorite rescues. He spent his life living on a short chain on cold concrete because he was too "vicious". His love affair with his mum Kitty is a thing of pure beauty

The very title of the book and premise of the argument are wrong. Empathy by its definition and nature can’t be toxic. By the time it would reach that point it’s no longer empathy. Instead it’s jealousy, callousness, or bitterness. The right uses this misinformation to justify being cruel.

It’s definitely the case that because we are a sound byte society the case is made that only two ends exist. Either we take away all guns or we let anyone have them. If society really wanted a solution there would have to be an understanding that not everyone is going to get what they want.
