I was just talking with a conservative couple from Texas who are so frustrated with the lack of public lands there that they have vowed never to go back. Taking public lands away will make a lot of people angry, regardless of political ideology.

Besides just having a lower caffeine content, supposedly tea also has other things (like L-theanine) that help soothe the soul. TBH, I haven't felt much soul soothing, though. I usually get up at 3am, so if I can do that with no coffee, then I can do anything sans coffee.
Day 187 of no coffee: Actually, it's probably day 10, but I've lost count, and it feels like day 187. Also, note that I'm not caffeine-free, but switched to tea instead. I'm sleeping better. I haven't needed a nap for at least 3 days. I put the coffee maker away, so now i have more counter space.

I've decided to go back and do some very light teaching, build the teacher spy network. You have to start when they are young so that the network is well established by the time they are teenagers.
Oldest grandson started kindergarten today. I also cemented my super secret ninja gma plan for surveillance. Which was actually my super secret mom plan, except now I've tweaked it to fit a gmas need for a less stressful life.
I delivered some groceries to a house way up in the foothills today. Upon arrival, a puddle of children spilled out of the house. They plopped an almost dead bird into my hands. Apparently, it had hit the window. The bird died in my hands, and i had to explain this to 6 pairs of sad eyes.
Ooh, my granddaughter had some sass today. Full deployment of the word 'no' was had. I may have met my match. Also, today was the first time she cried and then went and got her shoes when i told her it was time for me to go bye bye. So now I'm scheming ways i can invite myself over again tomorrow.

One of my favorite moments when the topic comes up irl, is when i inform someone that my mom is trans. In Idaho, we don't talk shit about a person's mama. So that pretty much means they just quiet down. Sometimes, they ask questions, which I usually answer. FB? Whole different thing. Asshats.

I've tried making him an indoor only cat, but it breaks his little heart, and mine to watch him suffer. So i keep trying new ways to keep him safe while still letting him have outside time. So today we are back to the leash, which has its own set of cons, but at least he can't escape.
Two nights ago, he escaped despite my latest round of modifications. Today, he has an abcess that I'll have to open and drain. He and I have been through countless rounds of abcesses. To the point that he almost lost his hearing.
Living and traveling in an RV with 4 cats is not for the feint of heart. Three of my kitties are very good about staying in the yard and/or the catio (they go into the catio if I can't directly supervise them. However, Orange Kitty has managed to find a way out of the catio every time.

Today has been a good day. I completed a goal that has taken me 9 months and A LOT of sacrifice. And, I had an awesome day at work. Plus, i stopped by zamzows and rescued some plants that were on their way to euthanasia. So now I'm spending the rest of the day making my garden grow.

Day 3 of no coffee: Cons: I'm still tired, but my presence has been requested for a zoo outing with the gkids this afternoon, so no naps will be had today. Pros: I slept through the entire night with no hot flashes. I feel less bloated. I get to go to the zoo with my favorite smaller sasquatches.
