My friend works for taco bell. Rounding up is normally 1-25 cents. I think you can find money on the ground to re-coup the losses. The company is using their money to organize a charity and get resources to people. That's more helpful than just passing money over. It's not free.

If I have a 1000ft² of land, I should be taxed based on amount of land, not what's on it. The estimated amount my home is valued at shouldn't impact property tax. It should be a steady rate based on amount of land.
