…has put me off on consuming animal meat altogether. It’s like dogs/cats being consumed in certain geographical regions of the world - it turns my stomach & makes me shudder.

Folks sheltering farm animals in these little private menageries, to keep them healthy + alive? They deserve medals. We anthropomorphize our pets. These vids from shelter farms, humanize the animals. Farm critters bonding + having fun instead of getting butchered + exploited is very nice to see.
Love cute animal pics + vids. That said, if you're keeping wild animals to entertain yourself, telling yourself it's "love," you're not doing a good thing. Even zoos are on an emergency mission to save gene pools + re-wild when possible. Kittens are cute too but we don't need more. Spay+neuter FFS.

Look at this graph. The share of national income going to the richest 10 percent was lowest (and share to lower 90 percent highest) when union membership was at its highest. As unions have weakened, inequality has widened. This is why we must build back union power.
