EU would have great leverage if they ordered from within NATO. The US arms industry is worth a fortune. At the same time you re-arm without reliance on the US. I also think it would be impossible to force countries to make defence spend part of a trade deal, so they cannot be forced to buy US arms

I've just spent a couple of months with a friend from the UK. They paint such a dismal, death-spiralling picture of decline, crime, unrest, and disfunction. I can't imagine most people thinking the streets are paved with gold and the UK is such a great place to live. Then, there's the weather...
