I am an education professor in Minneapolis. Today my students, undergrads studying to be teachers, were talking and trying to process what happened. One said that if she dies protecting her students, then that was her life’s purpose. I feel the same, but I also know it doesn’t have to be this way

Not only are teachers using their own time and money to decorate their classrooms, it’s also often done in a rush. Many school buildings aren’t open much before school, so teachers can’t get in to decorate. My building was always open the weekend before school started. And it took all weekend!
Poor Bunsen!! In so many ways he doesn’t seem like one to hold a grudge. But in the case of water, that feud runs deep! 😂
