I’ve worked in corporate learning for decades. A diverse range of people only improves what I deliver. It improves outcomes for the organisation.

You can’t underuse (overuse) sick days. If you’re too sick to work you are. I work mostly from home. If I had to go into the office each day I would have to take sick leave sometimes. One of the younger men in our team has been off sick for a while. He is really sick. So glad we’re supporting him
What is it with his voice? My voice never got back to normal after having Covid jan/feb 2020. But really… also, life isn’t safe, wonder what the stats are vaccines v car deaths, or gun deaths?
About Portugal mainly.
Based on what’s going on with labour at the moment just checked my wage slip (I never check it) so I can guess what occupational pension I might get. I’m going to part retire next spring (I think) and work half a week and claim pension. Wean myself of work and move to Portugal. Advice welcome.
A cap is ridiculous when birth rates have fallen for many years and we’re an aging society. Young people will never have anything if we can’t get people to do the jobs and contribute taxes.

I’m 60 years old and they’ve discontinued my plum coloured YSL mascara that I’ve worn for years. I bought green instead (hazel eyes) and it looks OK IMHO. I’ll test it out next week when I go into the office. (I know first world problems).

I could not be more disgusted by our government. This is about money. My late Dad said ‘the ONLY job of the government is to stay in power’. Now they are using right wing money to do that. Sod the rest of us.
I was following a teacher during lockdown and he said that is exactly what would happen and parents shouldn’t worry.

Very much this. It protects us from our own government as was intended after what happened in Germany.
But they are not specifically saying it’s visa overstayers etc. So for many it sounds like they are deporting asylum seekers, many don’t understand the difference.
I only listen to books I’ve actually read before for exactly that reason. This a series of six books 20-30 hours each. They’re my comfort listen. Have them on quietly whilst I work.
Starmer should be thoroughly condemning racism and these ‘genuine concerns’. He seems to be echoing some of their stance and words instead.
