My eldest got her first sunscreen at 15 when she'd stayed at the pool with friends and didn't have parents nagging her to reapply. She had serious regrets and is now as much of a fanatic as I am.

Not surprising that this thread has become "women turn on women". I had four unmedicated hospital births. Not because there's anything wrong with modern medicine, I was just more scared of the needle on my back. It's totally fine to praise medicine without slamming women for their choices.
