If it were as much greed as you’re espousing, the ratio of prices would be much farther apart, relatively, compared to incomes.
Here’s why I asked: the income numbers and the retail prices are **both** higher (in relatively similar ratios) which means even if the new game was the same amount of labor (it’s more) the costs will be higher, and the margins will be similar. It’s literally *just* effects of inflation all around.
