Okay, I (mostly) de-shimmered my J. Herbin inks, I have one backup bottle of 1670 Stormy Grey that it untouched but I was reminded of frustration of clogged nibs when I just want to write.
I am going to use the ink just not shake the inks up before filling. They are all J. Herbin; beautiful colours but oof, while pretty they are annoying. That, with a broad nib, I should be okay 🤞
This is good especially since I have planned to get a third TWSBI with a broad nib to support my shimmer inks 💫 It’s a *need*, okay?
My TWSBI fountain pen (Diamond AL 580) pen that I bought in 2017 had the threads crack and crumble in the cap 😭 One email with a photo and $13 later I have a new cap in a week! Best customer service I have ever experienced ☺️

🧶 Knitting pattern called for 3 US (3 mm) needles. These don’t exist. It’s either 3 US (3.25 mm) or 2.5 US (3 mm). Knowing this, I somehow ended up starting with 2 US (2.75 mm), not a 3 in sight. Thankfully, I was only a few hours in and starting over is part of life ❤️🩹 Take two 🎬

It’s been two years since I have gilded. The gesso I made still works very well, however the application and preparation of the applied gesso has a lot to be desired. At least the cobwebs are being swept away for more attempts 🕸️
