I've been anxiously awaiting where the first would be, dreading it. This is typical though, costs rise, contract comes up, demand worker concessions, lock the workers out, close and relocate. Blame the union.

You should get that looked at if you can. I ignored mine for about 8 months before going to Outpatients on Boxing Day about 11 years ago. It was almost 3 years before it was back under control and I've struggled ever since. It's scary facing a new illness, but IMO, it's better to address is quick

That life under Trump will be far worse. I genuinely think the LGBTQ+ is in genuine danger and that Canada should open a class of asylum seekers from the US. I misread the post on a quick glance and screwed up.

After my late wife had a pulmonary embolism she was on heavy blood thinners and this is what we're looking at. The decline Trump has shown over the last few months, I watched in fast forward. 9 weeks from embolism to death. Organ failure is hellish to watch.
It's not a bad analogy with the US situation, but it really misses the broader strategic nature of Canada's situation on the whole, IMO. It's relatable because Canadians love hockey, it's our game.

While that's a horrifying prospect, so is the thought that Trump and Putin could be deciding how to carve up Canada.
Individually, pay down debt and stash cash. On a bigger scale, build a community of helpers. On a national scale, a Civilian Defense Corps to aid in disaster relief and evacuation...also gives meaningful paid work and skills training to the newly employed.
It's a perfect setting to execute him.
