That's the bit, basically. 🫤 I traded a Honda at a Honda dealership, so I got more for the [POS]. I wouldn't have received nearly as much at a Subaru dealer, for example. (The CT was a used car on the Honda dealership's lot.)
Learned a neat deal when I traded in a beat-up Civic at a Honda dealership for a CrossTrek they had on the lot & got more than the Civic was worth tbf. Note for future purchases - look for my used Tacoma at a Subaru dealership when the time comes! 😄
Funny you should mention the warranties ~~ Bought my '17 CT in the depths of '20, no test drives allowed. Got 2.99%/72 mos. and TOOK the upsell warranty because I had only seen the thing online & my Civic just died. Three failed hubs & it paid for itself. 😳
I think the Outback is very much the CrossTrek of Foresters. Good choice. 👍

tends to be rather morbid, and I feel like there's a lot to be unhappy about right now - personally for me, as well as in the world at large. On a scale of -2 to +2, I exist around -0.6ish most days. At two below, I don't get out of bed. But I shoot for zero. I admire people who have 4/x
my 98 y/o maternal grandfather with me... and the former caring for the latter is accelerating a decay in their health and marriage, which is painful to watch. I don't aim for joy or happiness - I aim for balance. If I get joy or happiness, it's a nice side effect. But my outlook on life 3/x
My car will be paid off next April... & then I can focus on getting another card paid down (if the car doesn't need any costly repairs in the next 2 years). I have no hobbies because I don't want to suck at something before I get good enough to enjoy it. I still have my parents (80 & 74) and 2/x
I'm not brave. I'm also at a genetic disadvantage for motivation. And I'm close to staring down my first AARP mailing. I'm in a relationship with someone I care for and about... which is devoid of passion. I work 4 days a week for a guaranteed 40... at physical labor. 1/x
