Sadly, can confirm as well. My late mother couldn't speak/brain wasn't working enough so she could speak at the end. The brain just starts the final shutdown at that stage, I think.
So many clinical trials for cancer are in jeopardy or being halted altogether. The fact that this regime has also targeted childrens' trials just proves their inhumanity is truly beyond the pale.
I hope people realize how absolutely fucked this situation is. This isn’t normal. People are resigning all over the place because the government is mishandling our data, ruining our public health services, and generally making Americans less safe.

Absolutely 💯. The average American has 2-4 prescription medications, and that skews more if you're are elderly, have a chronic condition, or are trying to control pain. Many of those meds are manufactured overseas and imported into us, though. Many Americans are at risk due to these insane tariffs.

I am immuno compromised due to a couple of medical conditions. Attempted to get another booster at CVS a couple of weeks ago. Made online appointment, went in, but pharmacist refused because "they are not allowed to give more than 2" of the 'current one'. Had no ETA on getting the new one.

As a healthcare worker, I'd also be very worried about the health care hires. Staffing demand is there in some sectors, but shrinking in others. Research medical facilities have been hit with a lot of cuts & uncertainty. Add in the late 2026 changes to Medicaid and Medicare...bumpy road ahead.

Ali Velshi is an outstanding journalist. I've watched him on 3 networks, and he just keeps getting better. His knowledge of economics and business is as impressive as his political coverage. He knows how to boil down complex ideas to make them understandable to all. I have learned so much from him.

This, EXACTLY THIS. So many seniors will be affected by losing their Medicaid coverage. Some of them are incredibly frail, bedridden; many may be in various stages of dementia. When the nursing homes and memory care units kick these patients out, WHERE WILL THEY GO? There is no plan I've seen.

Agreed. And one major area I'm not seeing mentioned enough: nursing homes and other aged medical care facilities. The number of elderly folks on Medicaid in this country, just to survive, is much higher than most assume. What happens when those folks can't afford to stay after their Medicaid is cut?
