Yes, a federal district court judge or federal magistrate signed off on this search warrant. It would be great to see what the agents provided to establish probable cause, but that’ll probably be sealed for the foreseeable future.
Also very weird of him to talk in terms of “*if* we think he committed a crime” when applying for a search warrant “requires” a showing that there’s probable cause to believe that a crime was committed and that evidence of the crime will be found at the target location (Bolton’s house).

I have heard through the crimlaw grapevine that the DC grand jury has already no true billed the sandwich guy case TWICE and that prosecutors are going to try again. This is from someone who very likely has accurate and timely info.
