Why can't we regulate firearms? Why didn't Trump face accountability? Why can dark money maintain influence over our elections? Why was the Voting Rights Act gutted? Why is gerrymandering allowed? Why can't a woman access medical care at Planned Parenthood ? Why is the EPA now ineffectual? -Roberts

Unfortunately, the climate movement seems dead. The West, and the US in particular, has chosen today's comfort above tomorrow's disaster. It's the Grasshopper & the Ant story, and we're all grasshoppers. Trump ran on destroying the EPA and we gave him the presidency, House, & Senate. That says it all

Every time I hear "Trump will not succeed" in some heinous plan of his, I read an article shortly after about how he accomplished his goal. Senator Whitehouse called it years ago: when the far right took control of the Supreme Court, they opened the door to fascism. That's why I'm surprised by this

The left completely lacks imagination in how bad things can get. I'm often shocked by how naive my fellow progressives can be. Whether it's immigration, healthcare, war, education, infrastructure, taxes, urban policing, et cetera, the left has no idea how low right wingers are willing to go.

I'm sure they will get fired. Crazy as it is, Americans did vote for this. Every day, I'm still shocked that a majority of voters supported Republicans for congress, gave them 3 more seats in the Senate, & millions more votes than the Democratic presidential candidate. It's madness.
