To conclude, this was and is an ongoing tragedy unfolding in Texas. The children did not deserve such a thing to happen. Anyone saying otherwise is wrong. The people who say that we just need to hug it out with those who would destroy us are also wrong. Elections have consequences, and this is one.
What I would say further is that we only seem to really care as a nation when tragedy impacts someone who is white and Christian, and preferably upper middle class or above. I wish we had this sort of energy for places like Flint or Kensignton.

Fitzpatrick already voted for the bill back in May. Johnson didn't need the votes, so Fitzpatrick was allowed to continue with this bipartisan charade in the hope that voters have a very short memory, which seems to be the case. He needs to be voted out.
