The president is sending the military to control American cities and if you're a reporter who's framing that illegal power grab as "pushing the boundaries of constitutionality" or "acting boldly to fight crime" or whatever, please go find another line of work where you won't get us all killed.
This is bad bad bad bad bad. The military can be ordered around by the President…local law enforcement and state courts cannot. This is about taking control. Eventually they can simply impose whatever rules they want: who is gonna fight with a tank?
The more things they can put under the control of the military (immigration, city patrols, train stations, voting sites), the better it is for Drumpf and Project 2025…..the military can be ordered around by the President in a way that local law enforcement and judges cannot. It’s about control.

Agree! Just made this and it was delish…except for the flavorless sauce. The turmeric added nothing (although there are health benefits I suppose). Sauce needs salt and acid (vinegar, lime juice, whatever). I also added a bit of mayo for sweetness.

I sometimes teach presentation skills to execs. One of the first things I fix: Sentence length. No long rambles. People will stop listening. Dems need to speak in short, strong sentences. If your topic is complicated, you don't have to dumb it down but you do have to BREAK it down.
It frustrates me, too. The "ICE" and Federal Guard crap is about fear and violence. I understand being afraid. Especially since these thugs are, well, thugs. I might have run in the bathroom to get the lawyer (someone does do that, at the end). But I'm not sure I would risk my life. Would you?

I observe that *almost* all the videos of immigrants being brutalized involves a group of men, many cosplaying. I'm sure some men object (but, where are they?). I'm no longer sympathetic to the "just following orders" mindset. The admin is clearing women out of military to let "boys be boys."
