I'm a good artist because I always thought I was a good artist, so by the time I figured out I wasn't a good artist I was already a good artist.
This is why early childhood education in the arts is SO important. It's much easier to develop this when the stakes are low and you'll be praised for your effort rather than the result. So that when you get to age 9-12 and start to care, you'll be juuuust good enough to push through and not stop.
This goes for those pro-AI tankies, as well.
