Ulrike (@ulidig.bsky.social)
I think it's hilarious that the Official Statement from Giuliani's guy is sparking way more negative speculation about Giuliani than the police statement. Giuliani wasn't even driving, but there may have been an illegal u-turn immediately prior to the crash. The other driver was a teen.

The domestic violence call was on SB I-93 and Giuliani's crash was NB. If his driver did stop on the SB side then the cause of the crash is Giuliani's driver making an illegal U-turn in the median and entered NB lanes without yielding to oncoming traffic.
hyperplanes.bsky.social (@hyperplanes.bsky.social) reposted
the statement is weirdly vague but only sense I can make it is Giuliani's car was with the woman on the southbound side, pulled out and did an (illegal?) u-turn across the median to go north, pulling out in front of a car causing a crash (which is why it's illegal?).

But, in a 2-vehicle household, none of this is a problem. Whoever is doing the most driving takes the EV, and whoever is doing less driving (or more than 240ish miles depending on the season) takes the hybrid.
Ulrike (@ulidig.bsky.social) reply parent
I also don't take long breaks on road trips. I would rather eat in the car and get to the next destination faster. I certainly don't want to go from sitting in the car to sitting in a restaurant then back to sitting in a car. Gas, pee, walk around, and get right back on the road.
Ulrike (@ulidig.bsky.social) reply parent
We have a Bolt EV and a hybrid Ioniq. I love the EV around town and even trips of up to 2 hours round trip, but my kid lives 101 miles away with no way to charge at her apartment complex. In the winter, I have to take the hybrid.
