Road Trip to Panama City with the grandson. He missed school yesterday because he was ill, but he assured me that he is fine today to go to his uncle's birthday party and the rock store. (Emphasis on the rock store.) A little rain won't hinder us.

I told #2 Son about the scenario, and he suggested that it was an anniversary reenactment of the first Thanksgiving.
UnicornHerder (@unicornherder.bsky.social)
Speaking of rewriting history, I took a break and was working a jigsaw puzzle online. The picture was of the first Thanksgiving with Pilgrims and Indians preparing the feast. In the background there was a large body of water with a two decker steamship with four large smoke stacks. đĩâđĢ

Never put off work until tomorrow when you can put it off until the next month, unless that day is a Friday, then you can skip to six months advance, with double Tuesdays in odd years and triple Thursdays in even years, skipping holidays in leap years. If the day is a Wednesday, omit task completely

Yes, I learned that in journalism school. It also helps to read it aloud, but it remains my own work, so often hard to see my own errors. However, I am not, nor will ever be, perfect. Errors are part of the journey and make it my own work.
UnicornHerder (@unicornherder.bsky.social)
Editing my own work is peculiar. I look at the same words over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and they seem aligned per creative desire. Then, 12 seconds later errors appear out of nowhere. Sorting is incorrect. Tense is wrong. Isabella's birthdate was 4590. No.

I asked him a computer question, he gave complicated answer with codes and formulas. Then he said, "You don't see or do math, the computer interprets the code to do math." I like the part where I don't see or do math. When I saw formula, a giant trap door in my brain snapped shut over a Math Threat.

No, I don't have a bonsai. YouTube how to take care of it. I grew up in the Indiana backwoods and my father taught me the names of the trees and plants. River willow trees are my favorite, and I visited the sequoias. My Florida trees are different, still beautiful. I do miss the northern forests.

High praise for Ale & Vine restaurant at Fort Walton Beach. The atmosphere was cozy with Good Karma, food was delicious, the staff was very friendly. I had crab cake with lobster risotto and lemon cake with berries and whipped cream. The guys had steak, DIL had salmon, grandson a charcuterie board.

Today is #1 Son's birthday. I made card with money in secret compartment. I showed it to the grandson when I picked him up from school. He said he could keep it secret. But when his dad walked through the door, he blurted out that there is big money in the back of that card! He cannot keep secrets.
