Honestly I think it says something about the popularity of ZP's position (or the unpopularity of his opponent's) that his opponents failed even with this there as an open goal. I'm an SGP guy of course, but extremely heartened to see this south of the border.

Not directly related to the thread, but as I got in another game of JoCo this weekend it struck me that that game, beyond the specific historic context (a vital one to consider, naturally), depicts the dehumanisation of capitalism at both a national and personal level
And there's the bridge in Belford road *and* the steep gradients down (and then up Douglas Gardens too). Vertical gradients are just as challenging as tight curves!

It's so big and sprawling, but also really something special. The mechanics force you into your role and generate tension *between ideas* more than factional conflict. It's not necessarily easy to recommend because of the breadth of it, but it's some of my favourite board gaming of all time

Yeah essentially they've suggested you can exclude trans people as a means of achieving a legitimate aim, even if that aim is 'might freak out cis people'.
But also - they are happy to also exclude trans men anyway. They pretend not to understand gender until they need to point to a trans man and say 'not then, THEY don't count, because they look like a man'

First of all - where is the proof this is an issue which needs such an authoritarian response? Secondly - what's to stop the government providing training and support to understand the impact of unrestricted internet access to their kids? Kids can ALREADY bypass these restrictions!
No I don't agree, as per my other post. I think the MINIMUM requirement for the online safety act is a government managed scheme - but there's still no way I'd feel comfortable connecting my personal identity to what I'm looking at online for this government
But also - LGBTQ content should of course be open to anyone who needs it, there's nothing inherently adult about gender or sexual identity.
This is a slight of hand - tools already exist for parents to restrict access to sensitive content for minors WITHOUT mandating a blanket ban, and requiring people to hand over additional personal information to unregulated third parties.
