Ideally you want a president who would stand between danger & the American people not one who is the danger

Sending US troops into an American city without the approval of the state or local government is an invasion unless their actually is an insurrection but protests do not qualify as an insurrection
Without Trump the MAGA cult will tear itself apart his death would create a power vacuum where all the top MAGA lieutenants vy for not just the position of leader but the allegiance of the cult followers who are unlikely to follow anyone without the Trump name
The US constitution is the supreme authority in America not the president this is why if you get elected in Congress,enlist in the military ,get appointed to a cabinet position or a federal judgeship you swear an oath to uphold & defend it

The national guard should refuse to deploy to Chicago citing the posse comitatus acts prohibition of using the military domestically for law enforcement purposes, normally the national guard is exempt but that's when it's under state control
