Amen. One person who started in our COM discernment process has discerned with the help of his committee that his call is to teaching, as a lay person, in the parish. That was successful discernment. But I would hope that they (and you) could exercise that ministry on a diocesan or dealer level.
Yes. I think it needs to come through at the parish and diocesan levels simultaneously. Start with: all Xns are called to serve Christ - what are the gifts you have for service - what makes you come alive with God's love - how are you putting that into action - what do you need from the Church?
2/ in what is needed in training, education, formation for intentional lay ministry, and then finding a place where they can exercise that ministry if it is beyond the scope of their own parish.

We had a great Sunday! After the 10am service we blessed our new playground climber, and followed it with a cookout. 19 kids and their families: ages 9 mos to 83 years!. A few couldn't make it, but it was a joyful time at All Saints', Millington, NJ. 1⚓️

It's been many years since I was part of such a group but here are some ideas: make pizza in the Church kitchen together; plan a hike/walk in a local park; some kind of service project for kids or seniors; visit your diocesan Cathedral for a tour; do a prayer walk in the Church neighborhood. ⚓️

2/ The family ended up at my friend's church. When chatting with my friend on Wed she mentioned that she was very excited about this particular wedding and mentioned the bride's name. We put 2+2 together and realized the connection. I asked my friend to send the family my love, and she sent back +
Here's a joy to share: yesterday a friend in another diocese officiated at a wedding at her church where the bride was someone who had been a parishioner of mine quite some time ago. She had been through a really dark and difficult time, but was already coming out if it when her family moved away. +
