If you're a custom feed creator, you can now enable "show more" and "show less" buttons in your feeds. This gives people using your feed a simple way to tell you what they love ā and what they want less of.

Wrote up some notes on how we're thinking about Leaflet + longform publishing lexicons! Things like markdown interop, ways to play nice with emergent publishing apps, wider conversations re: compatibility beyond atprotoā¦ TL;DR we'd love to see how we can collab with others exploring this space :)

i reread the article like 5 times to really understand their position, and i still donāt know how this is fundamentally different from a big social media server, with its own data, being held liable vs atproto whose users looking at the same data with separate compliant appviews
so mastodon servers can still be liable? like if a server is in mississippi, they would have to implement their own age verification system? or if a big server already has signup age verification, like mastodon social, what stops the state to say it isnāt enough?

Excited to share some new stuff I've been I've been working on. It's an appview for building appviews called Slices. A slice reads your lexicons, indexes your records from the Jetstream, does backfill and provides a typescript client to interact with your lexicon .listRecords, .searchRecords, etc

i would like to know more about mastodon before complaining about it, but my current impression is that you still have to trust your identity and data in the hands of third party admins compared to atproto where you own the data and identity and give access to third party app views instead right?
