In spite of intending to build OOB, I've already found myself scratchbuilding to liven up the plain cockpit. Doesn't need to be high-fidelity, but a nice flash of colour which should be visible through the canopy... #histscalemodels
Day #1 A bit of flash and pin marks, but an otherwise clean kit for 1988. The instructions are also good, with a couple of photo callout for details and tips for a successful build and paint. The raised panel lines and rivets are very fine, and will be easily removed by careless sanding 😬 #HeaviesGB

A long time ago I used to follow the Whitbread Round-the-World Yacht race religiously. The best science, super-professional crews. They still sank and needed rescue occasionally. I recall there was one crew adrift for weeks before rescue. The Southern Ocean is a beast not to be trifled with.

Here's the overflow in Hangar #1 they use for storing/moving things... and Hangar #1 itself - pretty static for the last 10 years, but now there a restored Victor, and pretty much everything except the Concorde and TSR2 has moved around.

It's "all change" there. I was sceptical at first, but they have a 10-y plan to move stuff around. The Land Warfare Hall is a wreck, so they are replacing it with a bespoke conservation space and adding the vehicles to other hangers in context with the aircraft. It's a cool idea I will follow keenly
I saw the Duxford Shack this morning, but I'm afraid my photos won't be any help - it's dismantled and stripped back to metal as they undertake a full restoration.

As a side project to the B-17G, a Tamiya 1/24 Honda Fit/Jazz. As generation PS1 GT, I quite enjoy "normal" cars. This kit looks a step above my last Fujimi one, with chrome, fabric, and window masks included. LHD or RHD. Sadly auto, so will need to make a clutch pedal and shifter 🤣 #scalemodels

That's the smol Revell-ESCI Pz35(t) tank finished. The turret and hull panels were tricky to align and I don't know if it's just old plastic, but my go-to adhesives didn't behave as expected 🤷♀️. The tracks were also about 12mm short. Didn't put too much effort in, but it turned out alright for me 😉
That's why I loved the Witcher 3 DLC Blood and Wine - the world was so vivid and colourful (dark and sinister plot undercurrent notwithstanding).
