It wasn’t just Marc saying it. Looking at lap analysis in FP, the pole position time and the Sprint race, Alex was faster. These are undisputable facts. Additionally, Marc and several other racers said Alex was the man to beat. And yes, if it was the last race marc would have still lost.
Losing 10 minutes in FP1 isn’t going to stop this. It should be either 15 min lost in FP or the loss of a set of soft tyres.

Stated this yesterday, Simon. All KTM did was to put on a new soft rear, in every session. The most laps done was 8 & all riders were doing mostly 1:40’s. Alex, Marc and Fermin were all faster on used medium rears. KTM now have 0 data with a med rear for tomorrow. I expect them to end below 10th.
So, if you crash from now on and accidentally take another rider out, expect a long lap penalty. If there is no ill intent, I don’t understand the penalty? It’s usually considered a racing incident🤷 I don’t agree with this.
