Canada needs this as well. Just like what RFK is doing in the US, "gaps in public messaging" are a deliberate choice - they don't just happen. So...who benefits from misleading the public? Pretending away the massive toll of letting COVID rip are all about protecting a few negligent insiders.

I’d add that if masking is tough on your mental health, you do not want ANY part of the restrictions on your life and coping mechanisms that a new chronic physical illness might impose. I used to rely heavily on exercise for mood. Now I can’t even go for a walk. And that’s the tip of the iceberg.

Powerful closing remarks from PLRC co-founder @ahandvanish.bsky.social at the Keystone Symposia on #LongCovid last week, reflecting on the state of research & the journey of the patient community: "In our immediate presence, time slows, while the world beyond speeds up & moves without us”

Aside from the present, my understanding is that scientists knew in the 40s and 50s that cigarettes caused lung cancer and that tobacco companies essentially ran a propaganda campaign. I think that’s a lot like how alt right health works right now.

Even my dentist office has texting, which is a lot easier for me. Probably easier to manage as a receptionist too.

The episode ends just noting how exciting it is to be having so many IACC clinical trials going on right now. I totally agree, it’s a very promising new era.

I’m a a but surprised at how happy he seems, like he wasn’t sure it was going to go this way.

I agree pairing endemic with back to normal never made sense to me. And I think that’s what these articles are really insisting on—we’re still in the back to normal phase, even if it’s going badly.

How much longer will #pwME be left to starve to death because the medical establishment thinks it is too risky to provide tube feeding to someone who cannot sit up? This is exactly how Maeve died. When will governments FORCE medical systems to treat #ME/CFS properly? #GreatestMEdicalScandal

A Dutch #pwME urgently needs TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition) because she has gastroparesis and cannot tolerate food or any other form of tube feeding. But the hospital refuses, saying they don’t provide this to pw ME. Is there anyone in the international community who can help?

It is both astonishing and appalling that so many millions of people prefer suffering the extreme, irreparable, life-threatening harm of Covid-19 to wearing a respirator mask. #COVID19 #respirator

Sometimes I wonder why I put off making medical appointments. Then I spend at least 20 minutes on hold then feel very rushed picking a time. Just making the appointment is exhausting.
