No company should be allowed such a gross income disparity between their workers and the upper levels of management. Even 50x what the lowest paid workers is too much income for them, but currently many are getting 2000x what the lowest paid workers are getting.

Exactly! When we lived in the Midwest, we had a LOT of chickens (at one time, I had 54 laying hens). We sold eggs from our home as well as at the local farmer's market. There was an elderly lady living nearby who came every 10-12 days for one dozen eggs - it was the only protein she could afford.
She was a widow who had never worked, living on SS survivor's benefits of $791/month. Her family was neglectful. We charged everyone else $3 for a dozen eggs -- I only charged her $1, and if I had extra I'd throw in a dozen for free. Her kids got mad when I wouldn't give them the same deal.
Our society at large DGAF about the elderly, disabled, poor, disenfranchised, mentally ill, addictes, veterans, or those with immune issues. You can see it everywhere. Selfishness and apathy are prevalent. It's sad how little we think about the situations others are living in.
