In Kentucky, women and families already face challenges when it comes to maternal care. President Trump's cuts to Medicaid – which covers nearly half of all births in our state – will make these services even harder to access. 1/2 www.yahoo.com/news/article...

I don't know about you, but I'm tired of politics impacting things that should be nonpartisan issues. Helping families afford rent, access health care or keep their kids safe should be the focus of every leader – regardless of party – and that's exactly where my focus remains.

Today is a good day for our commonwealth and country, as we once again see that the law – and what’s right for the American people – can rise above any challenge.

American children should be safe and feel safe in their schools, yet today our country faces more heartbreak as we learn of another school shooting, this time in Minneapolis. Britainy and I are praying for the families, students and teachers affected. 1/2

If we look at the world through the eyes of our children, we'd see that we're all not so different and there is a lot more love than hate. Let's keep holding onto that hope for a better tomorrow for your kids and mine.

The Kentucky State Capitol will always hold a special place in my heart. I am thankful the work being done now will ensure generations of Kentuckians will have that same opportunity.
Andy Beshear (@andybeshearky.bsky.social)
In a little more than 10 days, Kentucky celebrated more than $6.3 billion in investment. There ain't nothing Democrat or Republican about a good job. By doing the right thing, we're celebrating incredible wins while lifting our people up.
Andy Beshear (@andybeshearky.bsky.social)
My faith teaches me to treat others with respect and the importance of forgiveness and second chances. That's why on my third day in office, I restored voting rights for Kentuckians who had paid their debt to society. Now, nearly 200,000 people have had their right to vote restored.

American families shouldn't have to choose between groceries, medication or rent, but rising costs and cuts to essential programs are forcing them into survival mode. Our government should be helping families, not making it harder to get by. www.msn.com/en-us/money/...

These funds weren't about Democrat or Republican – they were appropriated by Congress for the education of Kentuckians, and I am proud we were able to get them back. Raising your voice can make a difference, and we've got to keep fighting for what's right.

The 'big, ugly bill' is going to hit rural America and every community across the United States. With hospitals closing, people being fired and higher costs for health care, we'll see fewer people going to local restaurants, shopping at businesses and more.
Andy Beshear (@andybeshearky.bsky.social)
The federal cuts taking place are a betrayal of rural America. Cuts to Medicaid will hammer rural economies, cut health-care jobs and strip families of coverage. Cuts to the US Dept. of Education will hurt rural public schools, leaving kids behind. America deserves better.

Health care is a basic human right, yet U.S. Senators voted yesterday to throw 200,000 Kentuckians off their health care and millions more across this country. Now, the lives of these people – our fellow Americans – are at risk. The job of a leader is to represent your people, not harm them.

Members of the U.S. Senate just chose to put politics over the American people by passing the “big, ugly betrayal bill,” which will throw millions off their health coverage, fire health-care workers, close hospitals and hammer our economy. 1/2
Andy Beshear (@andybeshearky.bsky.social)
80% of the things American families care about — a good job, health care, safe roads, good schools — aren’t partisan. We need bipartisanship, but we also need leaders to put politics aside for the things everyone agrees on. If we focus on what matters, we can help our people live better lives.
Andy Beshear (@andybeshearky.bsky.social)
The "big, ugly bill" will add trillions of dollars to our national debt, fire health-care workers, throw people off their health insurance, close rural hospitals and cause more people to go hungry. There's nothing beautiful about a bill that will cost Americans their jobs, savings and health.

Cutting the LGBTQ+ youth option for the 988 Lifeline is just wrong. If this line can help save a life, it's worth it – especially when it comes to our youth. The federal administration should be looking out for every American, not just a select few. Our people deserve better.

The "big, ugly bill" is going to fire 20,000 health care workers in Kentucky. That's 20,000 people who won't be able to pay rent, afford groceries or care for their families. This isn't something folks can "get over." Raise your voice and demand to stop this harmful bill.

Americans do not pledge to an individual — we pledge our allegiance to our country and flag and commit to standing united against division. There is no patriotism in creating an 'us vs. them' mentality. We must remember, we are Americans before we're Democrats, Republicans or Independents.

Leaders must take responsibility for their words and actions. Disagreeing on something doesn't mean someone is evil or less of an American, and rhetoric like that is fueling violence that has no place in our country. Even if you disagree with me, you're still my neighbor.
