We've just been getting smoke now and then. I was in Jackson and it was HORRIBLE. They are between 2 large fires and got smoke no matter what direction the wind was going. The Red Canyon fire is almost out. The damage was huge for the ranchers but that community has already rallied for them

Yep fire season hit us all at once!! The winds swept smoke from hundreds of miles away on the top of storm clouds. ALL of a sudden they dropped TONS of smoke into our valley!!! Yuck and YEEEW!!! No open windows for us tonight.

I expect our forests to be managed. Logging, controlled burns-that usually get OUT of control in our area and managed growth. Logging=lumber from the US-NOT Canada. Just saying. Take Meeker, CO for example-right now the entire TOWN is under evacuation because of a forest fire! NOT ok.

City boys don't understand the devastation that wild fires cause in our national forests. We've had to evacuate twice from our rural home. Logging picked up after that summer of horrid forest fires. Logging has a HUGE place in forest and fire management.
