I have a large box of reel to reels that I can’t throw away despite not owning a player. They’re lectures band recordings of professors on the classical history and literature. I hope one day I can find an organization who can convert them to digital to share with the world.

Guess they reckon bacon is only made from pork? Ever have turkey bacon? Lamb bacon? Buffalo bacon? Venison bacon? Lots of ways to season meat, treat it, and use fatty cuts. However the big picture is they think it hurts any faith that avoids pork- nope-healthier for not partaking.

After 9/11 and before 2016 went to Turkey on an educational trip with educators. Airport in Istanbul soldiers in uniforms & assault rifles in Passport/ID. Checked our tickets and passports seven times-often feet away from the previous checker. It was uncomfortable—the entire point of having it.

Sad, but true. I took care of my Mom for nine years and lost her this past May. It’s 24 hour a day work and I’m glad I was able to do it. I miss her immensely and love her for all she was and did for her family—plus my best friend. Blessed you found wonderful care for her.❤️

ago it’s significant. A customer in the coffee aisle was swearing under her breath on increased prices & walked away without coffee. Fortunately we prepared for staples and only need odd items and (drinking) milk. Wonder though how much is truly an increase bc of cost or is it profit/greed? 2)

My beloved Mom recently passed from CHF and kidney disease. It causes swelling and pooling of fluids in the lower limbs—in fact the skin turns a dark purple. Blood thinners cause extremely mass bruising if prescribed with diuretics. Once a human body is in this decline —it’s all temporary.

Children could be harmed. They will stop vaccinating children because of alleged toxic exposure, but spray noxious green/tear gas to schools? Just start saying it causes autism and maybe they will stop spreading it to children and the lungs of citizens.

Mom has furosemide infusions infusions and survived five months and seven days afterwards. Her heart continued to enlarge making her ankles & feet swollen and dark purple because her blood in her lower limbs could not be pumped by her heart despite a pacemaker, furosemide & other diuretics daily

Had shingles 35 years ago—looked like raw ground beef stuck to my skin. It was so painful water from a shower was torture. Got the Shingrix and so freaking happy I did the treatment and never want that mess again!

Had COVID two weeks ago. It wasn’t as bad as the first time when it was before the vaccine—pneumonia. This time was an awful runny nose, low fever, body aches, and a sore throat. I’m fully vaxed so my symptoms were manageable and not life threatening. However I will continue any available vaccine.

Same here. Music in the 60-90’s is comparable to the current generation of social media high such as : TikTok, Instagram, FB, Twitter, etc. is a form of dopamine we had from just music. It was the good feeling media-music.

…. Week came caught COVID again. Mild cough, low fever, sore throat—over in six days and didn’t take Paxlovid. The vaccines help substantially better than the first time when a name nor vaccine existed. I’m 70 yo and I never want the first version condition again.(2)

Personal experience note: Caught COVID in 2019–October. All flu tests negative and I had pneumonia and low oxygen, no smell/taste, rampant coughing, fever, etc. Exhaustion last until February 2020 and couldn’t figure out why—embarrassed by exhaustion. Got MODERNA every time available. Last (1)..

Understand that well when was a caretaker for Mom in the ER. A doctor questioned her blood thinners as being necessary. I became angry inside that he assumed she was too sick to survive-she did-and the chance of a stroke wasn’t concerning. This is while everyone needs an advocate in health care.

We quit eating out unless necessary (once every month or so at most), grew our own veggies and canned/froze or food and bulk bought food that had a storage life. Shop on sales if needed and spend $30 a week (maybe) on groceries for two. Started in November after the election—prep for the long haul.

Minus the milk-reminds me of Mom’s Salmon Patties she made for our large family. Today we grow fresh herbs or have access to purchase if need be as well as raw salmon in grocery and big box stores. I cannot remember once eating or seeing raw salmon growing up in a land locked state.
