I loved the conversation with the chap 'no qualifications' engineer. Yes he is a god. The UK was a producer of skilled builders, architects, engineers etc. but above all, men in sheds, inventing stuff.

I was struggling to hear my radio due to some unexpected construction work. I caught the chap pro penalising firms with full time workers on UC. Firms would just force pt time contracts, as employers were doing to avoid NI. At least Labour removed that incentive by lowering the threshold.
Alarmed at this? Perhaps you might become alarmed. Now add Farage and Reform in the mix and see how leaving the ECHR with a Moseley running large swathes of public institutions embeds the power of fascists.
Worth remembering that Policy Exchange was reported as the think tank which influenced Sunak’s anti-protest legislation, which has resulted in peaceful protesters being imprisoned for four years for just talking about a future protest. They aren’t the good guys.
