Who cares about his prior attitude? As Eric wrote back in 2016, "Piazza is arguably the greatest hitter in franchise history." Mend the fences, retire his number, and move on. They did it with Fernando, they can hopefully do it with Piazza.
If the Dodgers can retire Fernando's number, I'll hold out hope they can reach an accord with Piazza. But in terms of Dodgers' history, in my opinion, Piazza would have to come first. It's not his fault he was traded, and it's not his fault he never got an at bat in the World Series for LA.
