Took my oldest, she just turned 8, on her first bike ride outside of our neighborhood a couple weeks ago. She recognized a bunch of places from riding in the trailer, but it was so much fun watching her world grow. They get so much confidence out of it.

We took a trip down there in April, mostly to take the kids to a water park in Rapid City. Driving up a six lane road to Rushmore by ourselves was a surreal way to see that place. Then we hiked around the Tower alone on the way home. Great offseason place.
