‘94 was when my parents let my teenage self come alone to the city for hangs, raves, concerts but beforehand they came in with me to make sure I’d be safe and they were blown away by the turnaround that had taken place over the previous decade. Since then they come in all the time now to enjoy it.

In north Jersey every town basically had one. Always surprisingly good things like homemade veggie burgers and then curveballs like melon with cottage cheese and iceberg lettuce (not as weird as an adult now)
