Director's assistant for a local film production company. I don't remember my exact salary but in its stead, I want to shout out Ontario's steadily upcreeping minimum wage; it's not keeping up with the cost of life but it's a godsend compared to many US States and I don't take that for granted.
It's actually remarkable how much the iconic Universal version of Frankenstein either changed or omitted. It's a classic portrayal but it is very much its own entity and is no substitute for reading the book.

I have to be honest, I've never been confused by why Silksong took so long to make because life can happen and creative projects take a ton of time and effort to make happen. Sometimes that has to play out over years and years. Every creator is a person with a life and their own challenges.
John Boyne is currently both the loudest and most insufferable voice in the literary room and despite his crocodile tears over 'cancellation' (he says on his international soapbox), that probably best pleases him. We should support lots of authors who aren't him and more broadly who are not bigots.
